FRIDAY 14th JULY

Life & Times of John Palliser Local Historian Sean Murphy will give an informative talk on the John Palliser, explorer of Western Canada and his connections with the Comeraghs.

Feile at the Falls  ONE of the country's most accomplished and talented uilleann pipers, David Power, is teaming up with world-renowned harpist, Triona Marshall, and national broadcaster, Olivia O'Leary, for a not-to-be-missed open-air concert and poetry recital.
Venue: Mahon Falls, Kilrossanty

SATURDAY 15TH JULY

Walk, BBQ & Ceili. A guided walk around the famous Lough Mara Loop with local guide, Michael O'Donoghue, followed by a bbq and then dance the evening away to the Michael Sexton Ceili Band in Rathgormack Hiking Centre.

Join Comeragh Mountaineering Club for an introduction to scrambling and rock climbing aimed at young adults. Participants can try their hand at some easy climbing while on a fixed rope, wearing a harness and helmet. Pre-booking is essential on 086 6287988 places strictly limited.

Family Fun Day including one of Ireland's biggest Teddy Bear Picnics.  A fantastic, action-packed family fun day and picnic in the park in Kilmacthomas which includes an Alice in Wonderland-themed picnic, Outdoor Puppet Show and Birds of Prey and so much more.  2 – 4 pm Bring your Picnic!

Walk with Bruce! Join local seaweed foraging expert Bruce Macdonald for a guided coastal expedition and culinary experience. On your return to the visitor centre you will enjoy a tasty lunch comprised of an assortment of locally produced, seaweed based foods.

Art Hand on the Strand - SAND artist Sean Corcoran made such an impression at last year's Festival that we've invited him back to create some more of his spectacular art as part of this year's programme. Friday, July 14th  2 – 4 pm, Saturday, July 15th  2.30pm to 4.30pm, Sunday, July 16th from 3pm to 5pm. Bridies Beach, Knock, Clonea.  Curious? All will be revealed during the festival. Bring your cameras and get snapping and sharing the spectacle before it all vanishes!

Gina, Dale Haze and the Champions: Gina and the band return to where it all began in 1975 to perform an open air concert under the lights of the Viaduct in Kimacthomas. They will be joined on stage for a number of songs by original member, Dale Haze. Preceded on the night by local bands, The Rocky Racoons and The Renegades.
