Dungarvan is a market town, beautifully set on the picturesque Dungarvan Bay in the west of County Waterford and is full of many attractions for all types of visitors.
Ardmore Ardmore

Ardmore is the oldest Christian Settlement in Ireland, founded by St. Declan circa 416 AD., before the arrival of St. Patrick. The village is most picturesque and its neatness has won Ardmore many awards, including the national title in the Tidy Towns Competition. Ardmore boasts a wide range of accommodation and so is a most pleasant place to stay and enjoy the fun in the pubs and the excellent food in the restaurants. Visitors have five lovely beaches to choose from.

A delightful resort and the holder of an EU Blue Flag for water quality, Bunmahon is on the Dungarvan & Copper Coast Drive. The headland protects the beach and there is an exhilarating walk across the west end cliffs which reveals a superb coastal panorama. Now a peaceful place dedicated to pleasure, Bunmahon was once the centre of a thriving copper industry which flourished here between 1824 and 1877. The Cornish Engine House, at nearby Tankardstown, once pumped the mines to a depth of 400m.

The town was established by Richard Boyle, Earl of Cork, in the mid 17th century. Nestled nearby in the mountain is Mount Melleray Abbey on the Vee Road. Stradbally Stradbally

A neat village of thatched and slate cottages, Stradbally has won numerous awards in the National Tidy Towns Competition and was a recipient of a Heritage Award in the prestigious international Entente Florale. Stradbally Medieval Church is the largest medieval church in rural Ireland. The two coves that are signposted in the village are the Stradbally Cove with its sandy beach which is ideal for families while the rugged Ballyvooney Cove is spectacularly set under a dramatic headland.
Tallow Tallow

The Irish name 'Tulach and Iarainn' means 'The Hill of Iron' This village was established around the 14th century. A horse Fair takes place annually on the streets of Tallow on the first Monday in September. It is a popular holiday area for fishermen. Tallow is a delightful country town nestled in the valley of the river Bride, on the Cork-Waterford border.
